I started a new personal project with a group of other photographers. Drive 10 miles from your home (or work) and find something to photograph. Don’t go 11 and don’t stop at 9 because you see something cool. This is a project to work with what you have. As a photographer this concept is so scary. Usually I will scout out locations long before an actual session and find something that I love. I almost bailed on this while driving because I kept seeing things I really didn’t want to photograph. Fortunately I think I really lucked out with this one. Somehow I ended up at this red barn right after my my odometer read 9 at the end. I was able to get permission from the owners to photograph sessions whenever I wanted! Who would like to do the first session here? The red barn would work great for a senior or family session once everything is green again.
This is a blog circle of other photographers doing the exact same thing. So after you check out mine be sure to click through and see the others.
Now make sure to check out the next photographer in the circle – Kate from Marlowes Loft and see her 10 mile project!
