It’s time for another life story. What’s a life story? Well it’s a personal project that I and a group of wonderful photographers are doing. It’s a great way for us to capture our own lives every month. At the end of post we are each linking to another photographer. It’s a whole big circle of stories in pictures. If you are new or want to see my past life stories here they are.
For Christmas both kids got books with a reader that reads to them. As a child I loved to read and I want them to love it as much as I do. I was the kid that would get grounded from going to the library – I loved reading that much. A common saying for the Frantz household is “books are our friends”. Since they aren’t reading solo yet, these leapster toys really encourage them to turn the pages, and discover the stories for themselves. I was fortunate to find the books when Target was having a heck of a deal and the only drawback is we have more than the devices will hold!
I love how engaged they get. They will pour over the books until I’m tired of hearing the songs and stories. Did I mention they have songs too? Oh yes wonderful catchy tunes that invariably will be played over and over. I’ve had one stuck in my head for awhile.
